Rowdy Nutt, Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) member, Bosworth & Assocs., is honored in his upcoming 3-year term on the board of directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) starting Sept. 1.

With a strong presence in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, CAA is a managing general agency looking to further expand into the central southwest region to strengthen the independent insurance agency system through profitable growth and exceptional service for all its member agencies.

CAA acknowledges the other seven leaders working in CAA member agencies that actively help IIAT meet industry challenges by serving in IIAT or with other local chapters across Texas. The following CAA members or member employees will hold IIAT leadership roles in 2010:

• Bill Barnard, CIC, partner at CAA member agency Barnard Insurance Agency LLP in Wichita Falls, serves as an IIAT board member and Impact Regional vice president.
• Brent Borgstedte, president of GBS Insurance Agency Inc. in Bellaire, will serve as the president-elect of the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston in 2011. He currently serves as the IIAH vice-present, and just finished serving as the CAA past chairman in May.
• Bill Bridges, CIC, CAA chairman and executive vice president of Duncan, Fraser & Bridges in Pampa, is currently serving his second year on the IIAT board. He formerly served as treasurer, vice-president and president of Independent Agents of the Panhandle.
• Curtis Fendley, managing partner of CAA member agency Pierson and Fendley Insurance LLC in Paris, is serving his second-year of a 3-year term on the IIAT Services Board, which is an advisory board for the IIAT Insurance Agency.
• J. David Mims, CIC, president of CAA member agency Mims & Smith Insurance Assocs. in Midland, serves on the IIAT Trusted Choice Foundation task force.
• Kevin Semtner, partner with CAA member agency Walthall, Sachse & Pipes in San Antonio, currently serves as the treasurer on the local board of the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio.
• Bill Siddons, vice president of CAA member agency Hill County Insurance Agency Inc. in Hillsboro, will serve a two-year term on the IIAT Services Board. He just completed his three-year term as IIAT Board of Directors.
