|The Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ) has named DeanaLykins president.
|She will oversee the New Jersey property and casualty advocacyorganization.
|Ms. Lykins was a principal in a Trenton lobbying firm beforejoining ICNJ.
|Previously, she served as national state government policymanager for a major pharmaceutical company and as deputy counseland Senate Commerce Committee aide to the New Jersey SenateMajority. There, she advised legislators on insurance regulation,consumer affairs, regulated professions, banking andtelecommunications, ICNJ said.
|Ms. Lykins said in a statement, "The ICNJ advocates for improvedmarkets for property and casualty policyholders and promotes theinterest of its insurers in New Jersey. I look forward to leadingthe ICNJ's efforts."
