The Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ) has named DeanaLykins president.

|

She will oversee the New Jersey property and casualty advocacyorganization.

|

Ms. Lykins was a principal in a Trenton lobbying firm beforejoining ICNJ.

|

Previously, she served as national state government policymanager for a major pharmaceutical company and as deputy counseland Senate Commerce Committee aide to the New Jersey SenateMajority. There, she advised legislators on insurance regulation,consumer affairs, regulated professions, banking andtelecommunications, ICNJ said.

Ms. Lykins said in a statement, "The ICNJ advocates for improvedmarkets for property and casualty policyholders and promotes theinterest of its insurers in New Jersey. I look forward to leadingthe ICNJ's efforts."
