The best place to work in New York City turns out to be aninsurance brokerage firm based in Kansas City, Mo., according tothe results of a recent survey.
|Lockton Companies, LLC, garnered the number one spot in a surveyof 25,399 employees at more than 300 New York City companies. Thesurvey was sponsored by Crain's New York Business in partnershipwith Quantum Market Research.
|The results were of companies with 50 or more employees in NewYork City based on a 38-question survey answered by employees. Therankings were based solely on their responses.
|Lockton has 51 employees in New York City, out of a total of3,800 firm-wide.
|The survey measures the extent to which employees feel valued,whether they trust the organization's leadership, and whether theysee potential for personal advancement.
|“Lockton is a great place to work because we have talented anddedicated associates,” Tim Ryan, chief operating officer forLockton Northeast, said in a statement. “It's an honor to berecognized, and we look forward to future growth in New York.”
|Lockton said its other offices in Washington D.C., Denver,Chicago and Kansas City have earned similar honors.
|The survey was published Nov. 17.
