Accenture has introduced a new web-based claim program designedto help property and casualty insurers modernize their core systemsand streamline their customer service capabilities.

One new feature of the Accenture Claims Component, version 7.0,is the new dashboard analytic tool, which gives claim workers areal-time view of their workloads, tasks, and processing status.The new graphical user interface also will aid in reducing claiminefficiencies, which the company said should speed up claimresolution.

The program also includes newly automated claim functions tohelp facilitate routine tasks and support core claim transactionsfrom first notice of loss through final payment. Other additionsinclude an express claim-handling feature used for automatedpayment processing, more sophisticated automatic assignment ofclaims to handlers, and automatic loss and expense reservecreation.
