Claims News Service, July 13, 11:44 a.m. EDT — The insurance industry earned the highest marks for sociable skills in a recent study by employee assessment company PsyMax Solutions.
Sociability is defined by PsyMax as "being able to relate to others in a highly-engaging, expressive, and lively style." CEO Wayne Nemeroff said, "Based on comprehensive scientific and statistical data, 'sociable skills' emerge as a strong predictor of success in insurance when compared with others."
PsyMax's research involved data from 12 industries, which included the work habits of over 13,000 employees and the behaviors and skills of the most effective managers in each area. Insurance came out on top with the highest industry score for sociability, while other sectors like research and science were ranked at the opposite end of the chart.
