Audatex, a company of insurance and claim technology servicecorporation Solera, recently unveiled its ClaimsElement program,which allows collision repair facilities to retrieve data fromadjuster estimates electronically.
|This server-based program eliminates the need for shops tore-key estimates by retrieving estimate data directly from Audatexin an encrypted format and importing it directly into its Shoplinkestimating system. According to Collision Industry Conferencesurveys, of the nine million auto claims each year, 2.5 millionrequire re-keying. The new technology also claims to eliminateerrors that occur as a result of re-keying, thus shortening therepair cycle time.
