SunGard announced the launch of iWORKS NAVIGATOR, a suite ofsolutions for life insurance and annuity sales and support. SunGardis a provider of financial and insurance software solutions forboth the individual and employee benefits industries.
|NAVIGATOR is part of SunGard's iWORKS group of insuranceproducts and is the result of bundling several SunGard front- andback-office solutions under a common brand. These solutions includeAIMS, CAPS, CLAS, Contact Partner, Finpack, and VIP. VIP is used byinsurance carriers to support the sales process by providingillustrations which can be used on the road or in the office. Bycombining VIP with its other products to create iWORKS NAVIGATOR,SunGard hopes its customers will benefit from additionalfunctionality and delivery options.
|Several factors have prompted the re-branding of the SunGardproducts, according to Greg Webber, president of SunGard's iWORKSbusiness. "It is the logical next step for bringing complementaryproducts together in a framework that allows SunGard's internaldevelopment teams to collaborate more easily," he says. "From adevelopment perspective, it makes sense to share resources anddevelopment tools across product areas which ultimately helpachieve a more consistent approach to integration."
