Wragge & Co has secured its first instruction for new client AWG, beating a number of regional rivals to a spot advising the FTSE 250-listed utilities company on a five-year outsourcing deal with IT group Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

The Birmingham firm is under-stood to have won the work after Anglian Water Services, a division of AWG, made a direct approach to the 105-partner firm on the back of its track record in regional outsourcing work.
