The Law Society’s attempt to rehabilitate its reputation suffered a major blow on Thursday (18 July) after a vote on four motions attacking Chancery Lane’s establishment was forced through at its own annual general meeting.

The high profile criminal solicitor Imran Khan led a group of campaigners in successfully pushing through a postal vote of the whole profession on the motions, which accuse the society of racism, sexism, undemocratic process and financial mis-management.
