The London office of US firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood has advised GlaxoSmith Kline Group (GSK) on its landmark £1bn bond issue – the largest-ever sterling corporate bond issue.
The instruction was secured after GSK approached corporate partner John Russell who had previously advised SmithKline Beecham before joining Sidleys from Simmons & Simmons two years ago.
