Latham & Watkins has promoted 30 lawyers to its partnership, with a fifth of the promotions in the US firm's City base. Six new partners have been made up in London - a significant increase on recent years which saw two new partners made up last year and one the year before. The London office's haul sees it gain more partners than any Latham office bar New York, with seven new partners. San Diego gains four new partners, with Chicago and Hamburg winning three each. The remainder are split across Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Washington DC and Singapore.The firm's corporate practice sees the vast majority of the new partners (13), with litigation and finance receiving seven and six promotions respectively. The firm's environment and tax teams gain two partners apiece.
