Still on the subject of leather, it seemed like Christmas had come early for a delighted Legal Week when a mystery package arrived by leather-clad courier earlier this week, courtesy of one touchingly attentive PR doyen. (All freebies to the usual address, please.)
Imagine our disappointment upon opening the package to discover the colourful yet broken remains of a corporate mug – sadly in more pieces than the unfinished jigsaw on The Diary’s coffee table. On a slow news day, it was fortunate the package contained enough bubble wrap to keep the office happy for hours.
