SEC sealUS regulators have confirmed that foreign lawyers will be hit by radical anti-fraud powers contained in the controversial Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) outlined its draft rules in a statement, saying: ‘The proposed rule would cover attorneys licensed, or otherwise qualified to practise, in foreign jurisdictions who appear and practise before the SEC.’
