Burness head Stewart quits the law

Alan Stewart, the managing partner of top 10 Scots firm Burness, has stepped down to pursue a career outside of the law.

The Edinburgh-based firm will be run by incumbent chairman John Rafferty and newly appointed non-lawyer director of operations Martin Sweet.
