Independent French firms achieved a near clean sweep of the honours at the inaugural Strategic Law and Finance Awards, held last month by legal publication Decideurs Juridiques & Financiers.
Bredin Prat was awarded the titles of M&A and securities litigation law firm of the year, De Pardieu Brocas Maffei & Leygonie was named banking firm of year and Gide Loyrette Nouel won the prize for capital markets. The IPO title was shared by Bredin Prat and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, with the project finance award shared between Gide and Herbert Smith.
