To keep up with the rapidly changing automotive environment, CUDirect has created the North American Automotive MarketingCouncil.

The new group, which includes CU Direct partner credit unions from across the U.S. andCanada, will help identify opportunities for credit unions toexpand market presence and increase auto lending, according to CUDirect, a lending, automotive and strategic service provider inOntario, Calif.

“The mission of the new council is to foster the creation ofproactive solutions that meet the evolving needs of consumers,credit unions and the automotive industry, as well as to enhancesupport of CU Direct's credit union partner base, and generateincreased loan growth for member credit unions,” said MarciFrancisco, senior director, automotive marketing & businessdevelopment at CU Direct.

The council will also take a lead role in promoting CU Direct'sautomotive products and services to the credit union marketplace,and act as a liaison with the CUSO's executive team, according tothe CUSO.

Members of the council will meet for the first time in May.
