Credit union managers from Tennessee, California and Washingtonstate have earned top honors in the 2013 Golden Mirror Awardscompetition for credit union marketing, CUES announced Monday.

They are:

  • GMA Pinnacle Award —Thomas Kane, CEO, $453 million FortCampbell Federal Credit Union, Clarksville, Tenn.
  • GMA Best Campaign—Roy MacKinnon, CCE, vice president/marketing,$1.5 billion First Entertainment Credit Union, Hollywood,Calif.
  • GMA Rookie of the Year—Christa Peck, field marketing operationscoordinator, $950 million School Employees Credit Union,Seattle.
  • GMA Golden Shoestring—Anna Wohrman, marketing coordinator, $534million Orion Federal Credit Union, Memphis, Tenn.

CUES said the four GMA winners were chosen from among 426entries, 152 of whom earned awards for marketing excellence.

The Madison, Wis.-based trade group said its Pinnacle Award isselected from among first-place winners of categories other thanCoordinated Campaigns. The Best Campaign is the top honor awardedto one of the first-place winners from the three asset divisions inthe Coordinated Campaigns category.

The Rookie of the Year is awarded to a marketer who has beenemployed by a credit union for two years or less, and the GoldenShoestring is awarded to a highly successful marketing piece withinthe constraints of a shoestring budget, CUES said.
