The $360 million Global Credit Union in Spokane, Wash., hasjoined the list of credit unions with deep military connections offeringhelp in the wake of sequestration.

The 48,000-member Global CU, founded in 1954 by members ofFairchild Air Force Base, is offering penalty-free certificatewithdrawals, no-fee extension on existing loans and interest-freeloans for up to six months.

“Our roots run deep with our military members. If they doexperience furloughs, we want to give them time and assistance toadjust. We've always been here for our members and we are here nowto help them through if they need us,” said Global President/CEOJack Fallis.

Global CU membership is available to all active and retired U.S.military and their families worldwide, and to anyone living orworking in Washington state or Kootenai, Benewah, Shoshone or Latahcounties in Idaho.
