Mountain America Credit Union members now have access tolong-term care insurance.
|The Salt Lake City-based credit union along with MountainAmerica Insurance Services, LLC have partnered with IntermountainInsurance Advisory Group, an independent insurance agency, toprovide credit union members with LTC insurance solutions.
|LTC insurance covers a person in the event that they arediagnosed with a prolonged physical illness, disability orcognitive impairment and need care in a nursing home or assistedliving facility.
|With most long-term care not covered by health insurance,Medicare or Medicaid, many people must pay for it out of their ownpocket.
|“Mountain America is always looking for ways to help membersprotect their financial security, and we saw a real need forlong-term care coverage, especially for our senior members,” saidGene Erickson, chief operating officer for Mountain AmericaInsurance Services.
|For Mountain America, long-term care insurance is just one ofmany new products and services that will be rolled out to thecommunity in 2011. “We plan on launching a series of newinitiatives,” said Marshall Paepke, president of Mountain AmericaInsurance Services.
