OMNI Community Credit Union is mourning the loss of longtimecredit union activist and board chairman Bobby J. McCulley, whopassed away at the age of 72.

Over the last 20 years, McCulley served in a variety of roles atthe Battle Creek, Mich.-based credit union from serving on thecredit committee to chairing the policy, personnel and buildingcommittees. Dedicated to current credit union trends, McCulleycontinued his education through regular conference attendance andcompleting all of the VAP/VLP home study education modules.

“This is a tremendous loss for us. Bobby was a true champion notonly for OMNI but also the credit union movement,” said OMNICommunity CU CEO Ted Parsons. “He was so supportive of growing theorganization and rewarding team members for their contributionhere. We all truly appreciated his leadership on the board, andwill dearly miss him.”

McCulley is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Michael andRobert; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and threesiblings.
