State Employees Federal Credit Union, Albany, N.Y., has promotedExecutive Vice President John DeCelle to chief marketingofficer.
As chief marketing officer, the 20-year marketing veteran isresponsible for sales and marketing strategy, business-to-businessrelationships, member education, member group development segmentstrategy, community relationships, research and development, onlinebanking and e-commerce strategy.
Prior to joining the credit union, DeCelle served as vice presidentof marketing for a bank holding company.

Baxer Gets Green Award

Baxer Credit Union is the latest credit union to be awardedleadership in energy and environment design certification forcommercial interior renovation by the U.S. Green BuildingCouncil.
According to BCU President/CEO Mike Valentine, BCU is not only thefirst Illinois credit union to be LEED certified but itsheadquarters is the first building in Vernon Hills to achieve thisstatus.
“Becoming a more environmentally responsible organization isanother way BCU gives back to the community and its members,” saidValentine. “Not only does it reduce our carbon footprint andprovide a healthier place to work and visit, but it createsefficiencies that translate into higher savings rates, lower loanrates, and reduced or eliminated service fees for our members.”
