Symitar has picked the core technology provider for its"virtual" users conference in August.

The Aug. 26-27 conference will use the VirtualEvents365 platformfrom Computer Generated Solutions Inc. for the framework for thecore processor's 2009 Educational Conference & TechnologyExpo.

Symitar had said earlier this year it would hold a "virtual"conference so representatives of its more than 600 credit unionclients wouldn't have to miss it because of budgetrestrictions.

New York-based CGS's VirtualEvents365 provides a Web-basedenvironment that enables organizations to plan, promote, deliver,track and monetize a variety of events virtually, including usermeetings, conferences, job fairs, product launches and trainingprograms, the company said.

John San Filippo, Symitar marketing manager, said, "We knewgoing into this that the key to success was finding the rightvirtual event platform."

Educational sessions, social networking opportunities and anexhibit hall for vendors will all be part of the 2009cyber-expo.
