MONETT, Mo. — A total of 720 financial institutions havecommitted to the remote deposit capture solution from Jack Henry& Associates Inc., the company said.
|There now are 622 financial institutions and approximately11,000 merchants currently using the solution, which allowsbusinesses to scan and deposit checks electronically, the companysaid.
|However, not many are credit unions.
|“Penetration into the CU space has been minimal, since this isgenerally tied to an institution's involvement with commercialservices. We expect to see a strong growth in RDC interest amongcredit unions in the months ahead that mirrors growth in memberbusiness services as a whole,” said John San Filippo, marketingmanager for Jack Henry's Symitar division.
