INDIANAPOLIS — The latest credit union to surpass $1 billion inassets is FORUM Credit Union.

The credit union made the announcement on July 26. Founded in1941 as Indiana Telco Credit Union serving Indiana Bell TelephoneCompany employees, FORUM now serves more than 95,000 members, has12 branches and participates in the Alliance One ATM network andthe CU Service Center shared branching network.

“Reaching this milestone is important. Yet what is moreimportant is that FORUM has made it by growing in the 'right' way,and to me that means always putting our members first,” said GaryIrvin, president/CEO of FORUM

Irvin gives high praise to the credit union's employees, who, hesays, “understand the importance of outstanding memberservice.”

“It is an honor and a testament to our employees to have reachedthis point in our continued growth,” Irvin said.

FORUM has made a number of strides over the years includingopening a $25 million headquarters in 2005 that includes aconference center that hosts up to 800 attendees. The credit unionhas also added a private clients group, investment services, wealthmanagement, trust services and commercial lending to its lineup. In2000, FORUM launched FORUM Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiarythat provides software solutions to credit unions and banks.
