HARRISBURG, Pa. — There now are at least 26 financial institutions in the United States willing to credit deposits to accounts while waiting for the check in the mail.

That's how many credit unions are committed to the UPost online deposit service from eCU Technologies (www.ecutechnologies.com).

The tech CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union announced five more signings to the UPost service, bringing the total to 26 credit unions offering the service to members. They are $665 million American First CU of La Habra, Calif., $572 million School Employees CU of Washington in Seattle, $362 million Patriot CU of Chambersburg, Pa., $249 million Air Force FCU of San Antonio, and $134 million Charlotte Metro CU in North Carolina. The first-of-its-kind UPost service allows members to make online deposits that grant them immediate access to their funds, including covering checks, before the deposit arrives in the mail or is dropped off at a branch. Improving member service and convenience are prime reasons for offering the service.
