NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – State. Rep. John Stewart (R-Plymouth) will open the Michigan Credit Union League's first annual Youth Summit Aug. 18 at the Michigan Credit Union Center. Sessions during the one-day event will cover a variety of topics including serving the youth market, services for teen members, youth lending, Michigan State University Extension partnering opportunities, and the NEFE High School Financial Planning Program. There will also be a panel discussion on student-run credit unions. Attendees at the Youth Summit will receive the "Student Credit Union Branch Handbook" put out by the MCUL's Family Involvement Council. The guide will also be available on the FIC's Web site, www.fic.mcul.org, after the Summit.
