GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions Inc. is now re-selling tocredit unions and community banks an investment management andaccounting software solution from Houston-based TPG Software Inc.Called Portfolio Genius, the software is designed to handleportfolios containing a wide variety of complex and simpleinvestment instruments, as well as facilitate regulatory reporting,advanced analytics and automated back-office functions, thecompanies said. More than 3,500 financial institutions andbroker/dealers already use Portfolio Genius, which now will beoffered through OSI's fti/Financial Technologies business nit. “Webelieve that the interface to our general ledger and assetliability management systems will give our clients one of the mostadvanced accounting systems available in the marketplace today,”said Mike Nicastro, senior vice president and general manager ofOSI's Strategic Solutions Group.
