California Coast Credit Union, San Diego, has awarded $1,000 tuition scholarships to four local high school seniors who will be attending college full-time in the fall. The scholarship recipients were selected from a field of 24 applicants, each of whom was graded on the basis of their academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and a written essay. This year's winners include Elizabeth Nagem Kuhn, Jennifer Lang,Cara-Lynn Lopresti, and Jimmy Wu. Community Federal Credit Union, Plymouth, Mich., has awarded ten $1,000 scholarships this year-twice as many as in previous years For 15 years, the credit union's annual scholarship program has awarded a total of $50,000 to college bound members who have demonstrated a commitment to their education and community. Winners of this year's scholarships include Rahul Mehta, Sameer Dohadwala, Nicole Genrich, Brandon Hill, Brendan Kownacki, Brandon Mancini, Lisa Ther, William O'Neill, Jane Pudvan and Jennifer Walsh.
