The Friday night game between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees will have a 7:05 p.m. start, but first NAFCU has to feed everybody. The pre-game meal will be at Jillian's, a "typical eat and play place" said NAFCU EVP Diane Swenson, who did much of the planning for the event. "They have video games, black jack, poker and obviously restaurants. We'll feed 1,800 people and have all these games going on," said Swenson who hopes the games will mix up eating times. "We don't want everyone eating at once." Buses will begin showing up at NAFCU conference hotels at 4:30 p.m. to take game goers to Jillian's. "People will have to be out of Jillian's and walking to the park by 6:30," said Swenson, who noted it's a short walk to Fenway. After the game Swenson said there will be numerous buses ready to take people back to their hotels. This is the first time NAFCU has used a baseball game as its traditional Friday night entertainment. "We discussed that many people view a visit to Fenway Park and having a Fenway frank as something you have to do in life," said NAFCU President/CEO Fred Becker. "So we decided to take advantage of the opportunity. We originally bought 1,300 tickets. When we found out that attendance was higher than we expected we got 500 more."
