The $180 million Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union is the first togo live on a new mobile bill pay offering from PSCU, the big CUSOsaid.

The service allows existing PayLynx bill pay users to make one-time payments, managepending payments and view payment histories on through iPhone,Android and BlackBerry apps.

“We knew adults under 30 were not going to walk through the doorof our branch. We needed to reach out to them and offer theconvenient mobile capabilities they expect from a financialservices provider,” said Sarah Lawson, information technologyspecialist at the 19,500-member credit union in Alcoa, Tenn.

The launch follows by a few months the St. Petersburg,Fla.-based CUSO's launch of “triple play” mobile banking throughtext, mobile Web browser and downloadable apps, PSCU said.

Alcoa Tenn said the initial soft rollout will be followed by TVcommercials on its mobile offering as summer begins.
