The $180 million Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union is the first togo live on a new mobile bill pay offering from PSCU, the big CUSOsaid.
|The service allows existing PayLynx bill pay users to make one-time payments, managepending payments and view payment histories on through iPhone,Android and BlackBerry apps.
|“We knew adults under 30 were not going to walk through the doorof our branch. We needed to reach out to them and offer theconvenient mobile capabilities they expect from a financialservices provider,” said Sarah Lawson, information technologyspecialist at the 19,500-member credit union in Alcoa, Tenn.
|The launch follows by a few months the St. Petersburg,Fla.-based CUSO's launch of “triple play” mobile banking throughtext, mobile Web browser and downloadable apps, PSCU said.
|Alcoa Tenn said the initial soft rollout will be followed by TVcommercials on its mobile offering as summer begins.
