Steve Solway, an 11th grade high school student and the owner ofa clothing line, recently became the first member to open abusiness account at People's Credit Union.

Solway's company, Shyne Apparel, is a T-shirt company designedto give the youth market a fresh new style, according to the $387million CU in Middletown, R.I. Solway's most recent creationincorporates a tiger design, and with each T-shirt sold, $2.50 willbe donated to the Tiger Wild Life Organization.

The student was also a participant in the Entrepreneurship-360class as the first runner up at the East Bay Met Center's bi-annualbusiness plan competition securing $200 in funding for the launchof his clothing line. The course is a 60-hour program for studentssupported by the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurshipduring which students learn about concepts and skills to create anddesign a business and then as a culminating piece, write a businessplan.
