Conservative commentator and provocateur Patrick J. Buchanan will be the keynote speaker at NAFCU's Congressional Caucus.

Buchanan, who held senior positions in the Nixon and Reagan administrations and ran for president several times, is a columnist and television commentator. He has written nine books, five of which were on the best-seller list of The New York Times.

He has taken strong conservative positions on domestic and foreign policy issues-including strong opposition to the war in Iraq-and been critical of politicians whom he believes veer too far to the ideological center. In 1992, he challenged then-President George H.W. Bush in the GOP primaries and caucuses and received 3 million votes.
