CUNA's 2008-2009 Technology and Spending Report said nearly 70%of the credit unions of $200 million or more that it surveyed saidthey were planning to use virtual server technology within the nextthree years.

The white paper looks at the benefits of virtualization, citingexamples such as $171 million Heritage CU in Madison, Wis., goingfrom 16 server boxes to two host machines and $3.5 billionMid-Atlantic Corporate FCU in Middletown, Pa., going from 100 toeight.
