MADISON, Wis. — Interns that participated in CUNA Mutual's summer internship program this past summer won the WAVE award in the student category for a video they created that showcased their experience at CUNA Mutual.The WAVE awards are a local award competition sponsored by the Madison chapter of Media Communication Association-International to celebrate media creativity.Four interns shared creative and production duties to create a video to show an internship at CUNA Mutual will provide job variety, educational opportunities and community involvement.Production for the video was done at CUNA Mutual using Final Cut, Motion and Photoshop. All the music in the video was composed in Garageband and Soundtrack and intern Alec Jankowski. The interns screened the production for executives, interns and their supervisors as part of their final intern project. The students also created CUNA Mutual's Web 2.0 presence and created Facebook and Wikipediapages for the company targeted at students andjob seekers.Tanja Lazarevic, a University of Wisconsin-Madison student that intern in the CUNA Mutual human resources department, accepted the award."The project was a lot of fun and has proven to be beneficial to our campus recruiting program. I can't believe this all happened from a little chat at the AV lunch table," Lazarevic said.The video is being used online at the CUNA Mutual Facebook page and on a USB memory drive as a give-away at college recruiting events.
