MADISON, Wis. — A new CUNA survey finds that security shouldcontinue to lead the way in credit union IT budgets over the nextthree years.

Forty-seven percent of 581 respondents cited IT security as oneof their top three technology spends, followed by businesscontinuity planning at 39% and risk managementcompliance/automation and expanding e-commerce activities tied at34%.

The responses to the 2008-2009 CUNA Technology and SpendingReport came from 3,000 credit unions with $1 million or more inassets invited to participate in the survey, conducted online andby mail from November 2007 to January 2008.
