ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Rodney Hood, Vice Chairman of the NCUA Board, has been named by the World Economic Forum as one of its Young Global Leaders of 2008.

The WEF is a Swiss nonprofit foundation known for its commitment to furthering good corporate and political governance and for the forum of experts in their fields that it holds in Davos, Switzerland, each year.

According to the WEF Web site, The Young Global Leaders program singles out for recognition 200-300 young leaders from around the world for their professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world. The Young Global Leaders for 2008 include 121 business leaders, as well as leaders from government, academia, the media and society at large from 65 countries.
