WASHINGTON — SBA Administrator Steve Preston will tour areas today in the southeastern U.S. damaged by tornadoes, and inspect the agency's disaster recovery operations.

Preston will also meet with residents and federal, state, and local officials to ensure that impacted home and business owners receive timely, effective assistance to rebuild, according to SBA.

The agency's Disaster Assistance program provides disaster loans to homeowners, businesses, and renters; standard SBA loans to small businesses; counseling and entrepreneurial development for small business owners; and assistance to small businesses seeking federal contracting opportunities.
