ATLANTA — Honoring its nearly 70-year heritage to Delta AirLines, yet looking ahead to future growth opportunities, $2.5billion Delta Community Credit Union recently unveiled its newlogo.

The logo is an evolution of the original Delta Air Linestriangle with the blue in Delta paying homage to the credit union'shistory with the carrier, Delta Community said. The greenrepresents the communities it now serves and future growthopportunities. An overlapping, translucent triangle-inspired shaperepresents wings. Launched Jan. 2, the logo will be phased in overthe next few months.

“With this mark, Delta Community acknowledges the origins offlight but also looks ahead to the possibility and progress thatflight represents,” said Mary Olson, vice president ofmarketing.

In 2005, Delta Community changed its name from Delta EmployeesCU. It now serves more than 100 select employee groups and sincethe name change, has built several branches in the Atlanta areawith another three scheduled to be complete by this summer. Membersare also served at branches in Salt Lake City, Southlake, Texas,Florence, Ky. and Cincinnati.
