RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — CO-OP Network has expanded its number of surcharge-free ATMs by more than 300 by placing them in Costco Wholesale warehouses, the network announced.

"While more than 80% of CO-OP Network transactions are performed at credit union ATMs, our members have asked us to create strategic partnerships with retail chains, where their cardholders already conduct business day-to-day," said Stan Hollen, president/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services, the parent CUSO for CO-OP Network. "We started by providing surcharge-free ATM access at 5,500 7-Eleven locations across the country, a relationship we began two years ago that now produces more than two million transactions every month."

Hollen said that the new relationship deepens the ties between CO-OP and Cardtronics, a firm that also operates 7-Eleven's ATMs. Hollen expects the 7-Eleven ATMs to begin accepting deposits for CO-OP as well.
