DES MOINES, Iowa — The Members Group has rolled out a new employee initiative program that aims to create a pool of talented individuals that the company can select from when the need to hire occurs.

Existing employees are encouraged to recommend candidates, who will then be screened by the human resources department. If there isn't an immediate fit, but the potential candidate has a skill set that may be of benefit in the future, he or she is placed in a pool. For giving the recommendation, the TMG employee will be rewarded with a certificate for lunch. If employees refer three qualified candidates, then they will receive a dinner and movie for two.

For each referral that is hired, the employee is placed in a quarterly drawing for prizes such as an iPod or an ATIRA gift card, which is a Visa branded gift card. For some positions, the reward for the referral is a cash bonus up to $1,000. For each qualified candidate that an employee refers and is eventually hired, the employee receives a chance to start up and win a Pontiac Solstice in January 2008.
