DALLAS — TNB Card Services, the credit card processing arm ofcredit union-owned Town North Bank, has looked to a major bank forits latest executive. The organization, announced it has hired PhilDavis, most recently a senior vice president with Citigroup'sCredit Services Division, as senior vice president with TNB.

Davis' responsibilities will include focusing on cardholderoperations such as credit underwriting, member servicing fraud,collections and recovery and compliance, TNB said.

At Citigroup, Davis was a senior vice president in the CiticorpCredit Services division. There he was responsible for building anddirecting the team that supported the Home Depot's commercialcredit business. He has also held executive positions in the cardservices division of Bank of America and the outsourcing divisionof NCO Financial Systems.

TNB said Davis has played an integral role in the creditindustry. He was a charter member of the Bankruptcy Issues Council,which spearheaded bankruptcy reform, has served as a member of theNational Foundation for Consumer Credit Advisory Council, and onthe Board of Directors for the Consumer Credit Counseling Servicesof Virginia.

For his part, Davis said that he was attracted to TNB because ofits clear vision, leadership position, and culture. “TNB has a richhistory in the credit union movement. It also has a stellarreputation for providing superior service and products to clients,and is now focused on further improving its core capabilities,”Davis said. He added that he looks forward to strengthening cardoperations and working within the credit union industry.
