NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union received the CUNA Marketing & Business Development 2007 Award of Merit for Political Action (non-agency) for a second time in 2007 at the recent convention.

"The 2007 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Award of Merit is one of the most prestigious and significant honors a credit union can achieve," Vice President of Communications John A. MacDonald said. "Getting this recognition at the national level is a tribute to our employees and members of our community who made it possible." MVFCU previously received the honor in 2005.

MVFCU also noted that it was a finalist for Credit Union Times' Political Action Award back in February. "We finished second to $3.7 billion America First Federal Credit Union who has been at the forefront of fighting against credit union taxation," MacDonald explained
