MONTPELIER, Vt. — Vermont Governor Jim Douglas has appointed Paulette Thabault commissioner of the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration.
"I'm very excited to serve the people of Vermont and look forward to working with Governor Douglas to help realize his vision for a more affordable and prosperous Vermont," she commented. Thabault, a small business owner, independent consultant, and former Deputy Commissioner for Health Care Administration at BISHCA from 2003 through 2005, has many years of experience working in the field of health care consulting. She begins her new duties Jan. 22.
"Her energy, enthusiasm and proven expertise in the field will serve Vermonters well as we work to safeguard the interests of consumers and make health care more accessible and affordable," Douglas said of Thabault.
