ATLANTA — Talk about traction. Digital Resolve, a veteran provider of risk-based authentication tools to credit unions and other financial services outfits, now is offering its protections to millions of users of Microsoft browsers and toolbars.

The Atlanta-based company (www.digital-resolve.net) has signed a formal data-provider agreement with the software giant to provide data feeds from its Trusted Server technology to current users of the Windows Live Toolbar and the legions of users expected for the upcoming release of Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista.

Digital Resolve's tools are being incorporated into the Microsoft Phishing Filter and provide data mining capabilities, first developed in 1999, to constantly scan the Internet, verifying the authenticity of Web sites. Its list of trusted sites is used by numerous organizations, including America Online, Experian and Symantec.
