MADISON, Wis.-CUES is expecting some 400 credit union leaders to attend the 2005 CUES Annual Convention: Marketing and Technology for Credit Union Directors to be held June 18-21 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This year's convention theme "Bring Back More Than You Came With" relates to the event's vast array of topics tailored specifically for credit union directors, including sessions on Creating a Strategic Brand Spells Success, Effective use of the Internet, The Art of Leadership, Outrunning the Competition and Executive Benefits Plans that Work. The event also includes industry speakers such as Nicholas G. Carr, author, Carlisle, Mass.; Steve Williams, principal, Cornerstone Advisors, Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz.; Professor Tony Eccles, programme director, London Business School, London, England; and Al Fahden, marketing and creative guru and author, Carlsbad, Calif. In addition, a pre-convention workshop, lead by John Oliver, president, Laurel Management Systems, Inc., San Francisco, covering succession, strategic and operational planning, will be held on Saturday, June 18.
