RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia CU went live last month with a newinterface developed by CU Direct Corp. and IA Systems, thatconnects CUDL and the decision engines of StreamLendT, IA'sautomated, paperless loan processing software. IA Systems is aleading provider of loan origination software for credit unions andother financial institutions. The state-of-the-art, Web services,XML interface, which was five months in the making and a result ofa collaborative effort between CU Direct and IA Systems, meets theStandards for Technology in Automotive Retail (the STAR standard),which is an auto-industry wide initiative to create voluntary ITstandards for how manufacturers, dealers, and customers communicatewith each other. Virginia CU's AVP of Loan Administration SherrylGould said the interface allows the credit union to approve moreloans and reduce costs “because IA's powerful technology tightlyintegrates CUDL's decision process with our own decisioningrules.”
