Travis Credit Union, Vacaville, Calif., has donated much needed furniture to the Antioch/Brentwood School system. Schools in Antioch/Brentwood received four steel case desks with returns and overhead shelves, six printer stands, two solid wood tables, two bookcases and 30 file cabinets. The furniture will be used in the administration offices as well as in some classrooms. CAMPUS USA Credit Union, Gainesville, Fla., has raised over $4,500 for the American Cancer Society during the Relay for Life. Campus USA Credit Union was recognized as "The Top Financial Institution" for contributions to the American Cancer Society this year. This is the 7th year that Campus USA Credit Union has participated in the event and has contributed almost $25,000 to date. The 2004 Relay for Life is expected to have raised $175,000 this year alone for Cancer Research. People's Alliance Federal Credit Union, Hauppauge, N.Y., staffers have donated their time to the Long Island Volunteer Enterprise (L.I.V.E.). For the seventh year in a row, some 14 PAFCU employees scraped windows and walls, painted signs, and cleaned debris from the main house at Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, Inc. Pal-O-Mine is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to teach horseback riding and ancillary equine skills to individuals of all ages with physical, mental and emotional disabilities in order to promote increased self-esteem and confidence, as well as to improve posture, balance, eye-hand coordination and muscle tone.
