Albany, New York-based credit unions teamed up at Empire Corporate FCU headquarters and took this year's ICU Day theme of "Heart of Our Communities" literally by sponsoring a blood drive. This is the fourth consecutive year the corporate and credit union employees have rallied the community to donate the "gift of life." The American Red Cross reports that 18 units of blood were collected during the five-hour event.
