BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv, one of the EFT industry's largest service providers, announced that it is rolling five of its regional ATM/EFT brands into one. The five former brands are ACCEL, Exchange, MPACT, TX and Instant Teller. The one new brand will be called "ACCEL/Exchange." Approximately 4,000 member financial institutions will use the ACCEL/Exchange brand, allowing participating cardholders to gain access to their funds at more than 30,000 automated teller machines and over 180,000 merchant locations, Fiserv said. Each of the pre-existing Fiserv-owned regional networks will temporarily continue to function under their existing branding with ACCEL/Exchange as the umbrella name for the group of networks, the company explained. Fiserv said it would introduce uniform graphic standards for the brand gradually "to avoid any pressure on member institutions." In the interim, cardholders will continue to use the same cards and see the same signage, the firm added.
