NASA Federal Credit Union, Bowie, Md., has named five high school seniors winners of the 2003 Mitchell-Beall Memorial Scholarship Awards. Students are selected based on essay responses and personal interviews. This year's winners include Jaclyn Schwartz, $5,000; John C. Dobrosielski, $3,000; Michael Quail, $1,500; Catherine Atwater, $1,500; and Amanda Heber, $1,000. AEDC Federal Credit Union, Tullahoma, Tenn., has awarded 10 $1,000 scholarships to students. Applicants were selected based on grade point average, school attendance and scores on national standardized tests. This year's winners include Joseph Garcia, Jared Graham, Jenny Gilbert, Brian Wood, Amy Clark, Kenneth Delaney, Kady Amundson, Jennifer Cunningham, Leigh Overby, and Ashley Finley. Silver State Schools Credit Union, Las Vegas, has awarded the Arlene Parkinson and Bart Roche scholarships to Kendall Conder and Jennifer Guadagno respectively. Each scholarship awards $1,000 annually, renewable for up to four years and is presented to seniors who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics and community service. Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Wash., has awarded its 2003 scholarships to three local high school students. Winners were selected based on their essay responses. This year's recipients Samara Encke, Alicia Leerskov, and Lauren Campbell were each awarded $1,000. Advantage Federal Credit Union, Rochester, N.Y., has awarded four Advantage Achievement scholarships to local high school seniors. Applicants were judged on their academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership positions, honors, and awards. This year's recipients include Paul Roth, Alexandra Lang, Kari McCree, and Lindsay Rubenstein. IFF Employees Federal Credit Union, Union Beach, N.J., has awarded two scholarships totaling $1,500 to Lisa D'Aromando and Katherine DeVries. Recipients were selected based on essay responses and outstanding scholastic achievements.
